SUV – Peugeot 3008

French cars having a long-standing relationship in Australia.

The first automobile to travel around our great nation was a 1923 Citroen 5CV. The brand itself is also longest continually-sold automotive brand in Australia, with its products being offered here for nearly 100 years straight.

Still, French cars find it hard in our market. PSA brands Peugeot and Citroen have had ups and down, same goes for Renault, that has gone from being a manufacturer-owned entity to a third-party distribution model, partly due to poor performance.

The cars are great however, with a lack of brand and product awareness and dealership locations being two hurdles to overcome.

The first we can address here, with no better example than the Peugeot 3008.

As you're probably unaware, the 3008 is a medium SUV. It was recently facelifted too, with new trim-levels and more equipment coming to the range. Either choice of 1.6-litre petrol or 2.0-litre diesel is a good one, top-of-the-line GT now offered with both engines.

A quick look around reveals stock is readily available across all models and in all colours, too. If you're looking for a swift and easy upgrade into classy, European family SUV, the Peugeot 3008 is well worth your time.
